International Sakya Convention:
First Edition
The International Sakya Convention (ISC) inaugurates a landmark annual forum dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the Sakyan lineage, a historically significant polity most widely recognized through its association with Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha. This first edition establishes a scholarly platform for examining the cultural, social, political, and historical foundations of Sakyan society, drawing upon recent advances in textual analysis, archaeology, historiography, and comparative studies.
